HCG Diet With Oral HCG Drops

Very Low Calorie Diet (VLCD)
Phase 2 is the HCG diet itself, also known as Very Low Calorie Diet, or abbreviated VLCD. In this article I will try to cover what you are allowed to eat during this diet, and on the contrary, which foods to avoid. Let me first point out that you can only eat 500 calories per day. For this reason, it is mandatory that you load yourself properly in Phase 1, as otherwise you would be very hungry due to your normal fat reserves being depleted. The hormone HCG will help you with hunger pangs, but your normal fat still has to be well replenished before you start the VLCD.

Also, it does not really matter how many times you eat per day, it only matters how much food you ingest. You can break your daily intake down either to 3, 4, or 5 meals. Most people do well with 3 meals per day.

In the morning you can have a cup of coffee, or a cup of tea, but no sugar. However, artificial sweeteners and saccharin are allowed. You can also use stevia to make it taste better. One tablespoon of milk per day may be taken, but no more than that.

The lunch is more delicious. You can eat 100 grams of the following types of meat: veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. But that are also certain meats that are higher in fat, so those should be avoided. I’m talking about salmon, eel, tuna, herring and dried or pickled fish. In addition, you should always remove any visible fat on the meat you are going to eat, otherwise the daily intake of fat might be too high. Another part of the lunch on the HCG diet are vegetables and fruits. As for fruits, you can eat one apple for lunch, a handful of strawberries, a half of a grapefruit or an orange. No matter what you pick, try to stick only to the those fruits.

As for veggies, you can choose one type of the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus and cabbage. Last but not least, have one breadstick (or so-called grissini) for lunch.

The dinner is pretty much the same as the lunch.

Let me encourage you by telling you that you can use some seasonings to make your foods taste better, such as salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, majoram and others. However, no oil, sugar, butter or dressings.

If you feel extremely tired on the diet due to the little daily caloric intake, you are free to drink as much as coffee or tea as you wish. But keep it in moderation, I would not drink more than 2 cups of coffee a day. You should drink at least 2 liters of water per day, or even more if you are a man.

One more important note: don’t use fatty ointments, lipsticks, or any lotions that contain fat in general. If you do use them, you risk gaining weight. You may not believe it, but the fats DO get absorbed through your skin when you apply them.
